David Miears started Backwater Fence at his kitchen table in 2013 – armed with 20 years’ experience in the fence industry, excellent customer relationships and a goal to provide the finest commercial fence and exemplary service to his customers. With tenacity, perseverance and hard work, David grew Backwater Fence into one of Houston’s largest commercial fence contractors.
Today, Backwater is owned and managed by Mary Quinlan. Backwater is a certified Woman Owned Business with an extensive history and track record of building large and complicated fencing projects for many of Houston’s largest contractors, companies and school districts. We fabricate the finest custom fence and gates in our 12,000 square foot fabrication shop. Backwater employs 25 people, and on any given day we have eighteen crews installing commercial fence in the field.
